KIDS MATTER is a club comprised of community-minded students who seek to make a positive difference in the world.  Projects are selected based on student interest.  Although our students do not receive community service, they appreciate that the needs that they are fulfilling impact others, as well as their own, lives. Since the club’s inception in the 2010-2011 school year, they have embarked on many service projects: fundraising events for Tsunami victims in Japan and Tornado victims in US organized annual package food drives for the Chula Vista Salvation Army worked to Just Call Us Volunteers to prepare, cook, and serve food to homeless veterans. participated in beautification events at at Hilltop Middle and the City of Chula Vista participated in and raised money for the Susan Komen Race for the Cure sent letters to our nation’s military If anyone is interested in joining KIDS MATTER,  please contact Mrs. Jarrett ataida.jarrett@sweetwaterschools.org
